What makes you different than other DJs?
The most important thing that makes me different is the amount of time I spend before your big day helping you plan. I dedicate countless hours to making sure your reception goes as planned. That's the reason we're called "It's Your Night." Most DJs show up and play music and call it a day. I go above that and help you make your dreams reality! My clients always tell me that I'm so easy to get a hold of compared to other DJs. They've told me that some companies didn't even call them or email them back.

Do you have references or testimonials from past clients?
I send out feedback forms to each of my clients after the wedding. I am more than happy to share them with you. I bring lists of references along with me to our first meeting and most of my clients are available to speak with either over the phone or by email. I actually recommend that you contact past clients before you make a final decision on any DJ.

What types of events do you specialize in?
I specialize in wedding receptions.
Other DJs do all sorts of miscellaneous events
but I've chosen to concentrate on weddings by keeping up with the latest trends and being very organized when helping plan your big day.

How does your pricing work?
My pricing is very straightforward. The total price for your reception is listed clearly on the contract. I charge a flat-rate fee for your reception with no hidden or extra charges such as overtime. Instead of hiring me hourly or for just 4 hours, I'm your DJ for the night! You won't need to watch the clock when I'm your DJ, I just want you and your guests to have a great time! To see if I'm still open on your date and to get a quote for your reception simply contact me by clicking here.

When do I pay for my DJ services?
I require a small retainer fee to reserve your date but the balance doesn't need to be paid until 10 days before your reception. I also offer an interest-free payment plan to help you pay your balance each month leading up to your wedding.

What type of music do you play?
I offer just about every type of music. My collection ranges from the big band era to today's current top 40 hits! All of my songs are "clean radio-edits" so your guests won't hear any objectionable or explicit lyrics. I'm also one of the few DJs that offer an extensive collection of Contemporary Christian music.

Do you allow clients to choose the music at their reception?
Absolutely! I am more than happy to play any special songs or requests. However, my job as your DJ is to observe what your guests enjoy and play the music that keeps them on the dance floor.

::
Are you the DJ that shows up at my reception?
I get this question a lot! I guess that's because a lot of companies send a part-time, less experienced DJ to their events. Rest assured that when you hire me, I'm the DJ who meets with you initially, does all the planning and coordinating, and the DJ who comes to perform at your reception. You'll
also have peace of mind knowing that each time you call or email me you'll get a hold of me directly. I'll be the one answering all of your questions.

::
Do you offer a contract to protect your clients?
Yes, in fact most companies offer contracts that protect only their company. My contract protects you as well. It does not include any sneaky fine print or confusing legal wording...just peace of mind! It includes all of your reception information and the total price that you will pay. It also states that I will be the DJ who shows up at your reception to perform.

::
Do you emcee my reception and is that included in the price?
Yes, I am not only your DJ but also the emcee for your reception. As your spokesperson, I keep your guests informed with any announcements that need to be made throughout the evening. There is no extra charge for this.

Since you attend weddings just about every weekend, can you help me plan my reception?
Yes, I have lots of ideas to make your reception a huge success! You simply tell me what type of mood you'd like to create at and I'll offer suggestions to help make it happen. My reception planning solutions are included in your price. First, I give you a detailed reception planner for you and your fiance to work on together. Then, closer to the wedding, I sit down with you face-to-face and help you come up with the master agenda for the evening. I then meet with all of your other vendors a week before your wedding and share the order of events with them. During your reception I coordinate the entire evening so you can simply relax and have a good time with your guests.

What will you wear at my reception?
I dress in a full formal tuxedo with a black dress shirt and a black silk tie. Since I'm often the first person your guests will see when they arrive it's important for me to look professional. In some cases clients will ask me to dress less formal so just let me know what you have in mind.

::
When will you arrive to set up at my reception?
This all depends on how much set-up is needed. I usually arrive at least 2 hours before your reception to make sure I am completely set up by the time your first guest arrives. For larger weddings I may need additional set-up time. As always, I do not charge you extra for any amount of set-up time.

::
What type of equipment do you use?
I use the latest in professional sound equipment. No home stereo gear or consumer grade equipment is used at your reception. Denon, Shure, Crown and JBL are just a few of the name brands I use. I also use professional wireless microphones for all announcements. All of my sound equipment sets inside custom made cases that rest on top of any standard banquet table. All wires are kept out of sight for a very clean and organized appearance. After all, you spend lots of money on making everything look elegant so why should the DJ's set-up be any different?

::
Do you expect a tip at the end of the evening?
No, my clients pay a professional fee and I would never expect an extra amount at the end of the evening. I also would never display a "tip jar" at your reception.

::
Do you put up cheesy banners or advertisements for your company?
No way! I do not come to your wedding to advertise my business. Remember, this is your night so I will not post any banners or posters with my company name displayed on them.

::
Do you require a meal if you are at my reception?
No, as the emcee for your reception I feel it is unprofessional to eat in front of your guests. Please don't include me in your meal count. Also, I will never drink alcohol at your wedding and I don't smoke so I'll never need to step outside for a smoke break.
