Getting to Know Jeremiah Brinkley

December 28, 2020 by itsyouradmin Weddings 0 comments

Jeremiah Brinkley is an energetic, passionate and extremely talented DJ and live musician! He is a husband and father of (soon to be) 3 children and loves to put on an awesome party for his couples. Read on for our Q&A with Jeremiah!

How did you get started in the DJ business?

I DJ’d my first wedding when I was 16. Looking back, it could have easily been a disaster with a 16 year old as their DJ, but it wasn’t, it was so much fun and they danced all night! After that, my mom suggested that I should become a DJ. I started out at a DJ company in Dallas and a few years later I found myself at IYN. It was the best fit coming here, working with William and this team, they are all just much more like me and I feel like I can really be myself and bring what I love to do to the table, like live music and my DJ style. And here I am, doing what I love!

What’s your favorite part about DJing weddings?

I love when I’m just in sync with the crowd and I’m playing songs that they scream for!

Since we’re in the biz, what’s your favorite song to dance to?

Truth Hurts by Lizzo

And your favorite karaoke song?

Tennessee Whiskey all the way

If you could pick 2 people to have dinner with (dead or alive), who would they be and why?

Jesus…Jesus is always the answer. No but really it would seriously be amazing to hear him teach! And Justin Timberlake because he is a musical genius and he seems like he would be fun to hang out with!

What was the first concert that you attended?

I don’t count TobyMac because I saw him at a conference, so my first real concert was Chris Daughtry. My wife and I (we were dating at the time) bought tickets on the day of the concert and got third row, center seats – it was unbelievable!

Tell us a little about your wedding!

Taylor and I got married on September 23, 2016. It was shabby chic and we had a blast! Our first dance song was “From the Ground Up” by Dan + Shay – my favorite artist.

What is one piece of advice that you would give couples during the wedding planning process?

Spend money on the thing that is most important to you. If you want incredible decor, spend money on the venue/flowers/etc. If you want an amazing party, hire a GOOD DJ and get a photo booth!

Let’s wrap it up with a quick round of this or that!
