IYN Spotlight – Sarabeth Events

Sarabeth Events is an award-winning luxury event planning company that started here in the Metroplex in 2009 and is made up of experienced coordinators whose number one priority is to help you create one stunning event! With their attention to detail, personalized touches, and flawless execution, your corporate, non-profit, social event or wedding will be one you and your guests remember for years to come.

Tell us a little about the team!

We are a fabulous team of five! Sarabeth handles the corporate and non-profit division, Georgette, Rachel, and Lauren plan the weddings, and Krista supports our team from an administrative role. Sarabeth founded the company 11 years ago and most of the team has been working together for over 6 years. We’re fortunate to have a large team of planners so we can take on multiple events each month. 

What is the best part of this job?

Building a personal relationship with each one of our clients during this planning process is our favorite part. That way, we can ensure that no two weddings or events are the same. We love the look on their faces when our clients see that we have turned a vision to life! We genuinely want each wedding and event to have its own detail specific to the couple or company.

How do you handle when something doesn’t go as planned at a wedding?

Luckily, this doesn’t happen often since we seek out such trustworthy vendors to surround ourselves with at our events. Of course, we’re always prepared with a “Plan B” for certain scenarios and our handy emergency kit has everything inside for us to tackle any obstacle day-of.

What are some of the hottest trends you’re seeing right now in the wedding industry?

Food and sensory experiences, bringing the outdoors inside with indoor gardens and living walls & infusing bright colors as the new neutral color palette are just a few trends we are incorporating into our events. 

IYN provided the lighting for this incredible event Sarabeth Events designed. Our skilled lighting techs did everything from the pin-spot lighting on centerpieces to the up-lighting and even the really cool star projection on the ceiling!

During these trying times of navigating wedding planning during this pandemic, what advice would you give to couples that are in the midst of planning?

We know this is a difficult time for any couple. We want you to know that we’re here to help you navigate this process. We’re optimistic that love WILL prevail and we’ll be able to host weddings and receptions again very soon.
