What Every Bride Should Know About Speaker Placement

Speaker placement is EVERYTHING for the dance party you dream of at your wedding. Achieve the perfect volume of music that gets your guests singing at the top of their lungs, dancing the night away, and letting loose with these helpful tips for how to set up speakers at your wedding!

Place the main speaker as close to the dance floor as possible.

If the main speaker is too far away from the dance floor, there could be areas of the dance floor that are too quiet. Whenever a dance floor is too quiet, wedding guests do not feel as inclined to sing as loud, dance as hard, or let as loose, so we recommend placing the main speaker as close to the dance floor as possible to promote an environment for people to sing as loud as they want, dance as hard as they can, and let loose!

Don’t put grandparents or parents too close to the main speaker.

When considering speaker placement, think about your wedding guests and people placement, as well. It is a good idea to place grandparents and parents farther away from the main speaker, so the music is not too loud for them. This strategic placement will also dodge any complaints about the music being too loud.

Spread sound evenly throughout your venue with extra speakers.

We highly recommend using extra speakers to make the volume at your wedding perfect! Extra speakers placed around the room will eliminate the problem of “dead zones,” or areas where the music is hard to hear, as well as bring down the main system sound levels since there is not a need to compensate for “dead zones.”

We want you to have one of the best and most memorable nights of your life at your wedding, and this wish of ours includes throwing a dance party that is not too loud and not too quiet either.
